Hi, I’m Karla!
Doug Ukrainetz’s daughter. Dad, our founder and pioneer, started our family business in 1974 and it was soon recognized in Saskatchewan and neighbouring provinces. I obtained my license in 2003 and started Karla’s Auction alongside Dad. In 2018 we purchased a building in Springside to accommodate both Ukrainetz Auctioneering and Karla’s Auction House.
From humble beginnings through hard work and honesty, we forged life-long relationships with buyers and sellers who became enduring friends. We continued to keep up with the fast-paced changing auction industry, from on-site to online auctions, and everything in between.
Today, Karla’s Auction is known as a trustworthy auctioneering company. Mentored by Dad I’ve built a reputation for keen appraisals, and rewarding consignments, liquidations, and auction sales. We continue to grow and keep up with the fast paced, ever-changing auction industry.
In August of 2023, my legendary Dad drew his last breath, and with it an era of Ukrainetz Auction dimmed. Nevertheless, Karla’s Auction House continues to thrive.
Thanks to loyal staff, supportive consignors and sellers, ardent bidders, and the real need for personalized auction services, Karla’s Auction House is successful. As one of the very few female auctioneers, Karla adds a special touch that is uniquely hers to the industry – large heart, people-focused.
